Me holding a coffee cup

I had some time to reflect on what I saw and heard at Gartner Data & Analytics in London. Then I sat down and made myself a coffee while I talked through my thoughts.

  • Saying that AI agents need context is a truism; a lot more detail is needed about how that context is supplied.
  • Papering over the cracks in disconnected systems by saying that you put a human in the loop won’t cut it either; systems need to be properly designed to put the human in the lead.
  • This disconnect explains the massive gap between CEOs, who are all very excited to jump into AI, and CFOs, who are not seeing the return on all of the investment.

I also wrote about the state of the AI art according to Gartner over at the SnapLogic blog, or you can join the conversation on LinkedIn.
